Martin Altenburg (he/him)I am excited and humbled to be running alongside Jennalei for ASSU Exec. When I arrived at Stanford back in 2017, I had no idea how to navigate campus life as a FLI student from North Dakota. I began my involvement in the ASSU by joining the undergraduate senate the spring of my frosh year. I joined with the goal of making Stanford more accessible to all students, and this idea has motivated my work for the past two years.
As a senator, I value follow-though and passion within all of my projects. I've also grown to understand the importance of engaging with Stanford's many student organizations and community groups. Being a part of the ASSU has given me to opportunity to become empowered by the diversity of perspectives of students on campus. Outside of senate, I love engaging with student life and the arts at Stanford. I am a violinist and violist in the Stanford symphony, conduct research with the School of Engineering, and am an RA for Kairos. |
